PRINTING TECHNIQUES: THE BASICS

  · Industrial printing methods are important; you must know each one and what method is used for printing various different graphic products.

 FOUR COLOUR PRINTING

  · Remember that printing is    usually done using four   colour printing; where the image    pixels (small dots) are split up into the colours of CYMK (Cyan, Yellow,    Magenta, Process Black)

 The REGISTRATION is the lining up of these layers of ink; if incorrect the image will be blurred.


INKS

 

 

· These are made up of 2 parts; the Solid Pigment (colour) & the Vehicle (A liquid carrier that         absorbs into the paper or evaporates)
